On VS-F120, a fine particle size (D50 5–12 µm, ISO 13320) with 45 µm sieve residue ≤ 0.05% (ISO 2591-1) supports free flow and anti-caking in seasoning powders and dry blends.

Food powder flow — common questions

Published industry literature reports 0.5–2% for hydrophilic precipitated silica used as an anti-caking agent in powder blends. That range is a reported industry starting point, not a Vistasilica specification. The working load depends on the water activity and fat content of the host powder, so it should be set by trial against your own storage and transport conditions.
Anti-caking performance depends on the moisture and fat profile of the host powder, not on the silica alone. A blend that forms recrystallised salt bridges during storage needs a different particle size and surface area from one that cakes through fat migration. Screening the powder profile before fixing a loading is what separates the two cases.
VS-F120 Flow Aid is the anti-caking and flow grade: D50 5–12 µm (ISO 13320) with 45 µm sieve residue ≤ 0.05% (ISO 2591-1). VS-C200 Carrier is the liquid-carrying grade: DOP 240–290 g/100 g and BET 170–230 m²/g. Use VS-F120 to keep an existing powder moving, VS-C200 to turn a liquid into a powder.
